Positioning

All three design practices were really new to me and all of them ended up being really different than what I had anticipated. My favourite has been commercial design as there you are given a whole scenario and you have to solve problems by building models, prototypes and renders. I really think that autonomous design is really similar to social interms of how they are being seen or viewed from the perspective of society. Actually I would have never thought that social design would be about finding solutions to complex societal problems. I thought that social design was about designing for society without someone’s own benefit. Autonomous design is also really open for interpretation which gives one more freedom. I like the fact that you have limits or at least have a path to follow in order to come up with an end product. Social design sounds interesting but I don’t really resonate with it personally thats why if I have to make and order. I would prefer commercial design over both of them and then autonomous, social design respectively. If I have to leave one out it would definitely be social design as I am not really interested in solving big societal problems. I would rather prefer solving smaller problems or coming up with innovative ideas that is going to benefit society. In the future I want to focus more on prototyping and innovative design thats why I would go with commercial design. Also as understood from the name its in my interest to combine design and business.
