Process

The main inspiration for the designs came from the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. 75 Birch trees were planted on to the rooftop. Research showed that birds like nuthatches, sparrows and grosbeaks get attracted by birch trees so all designs were tailor made for their sizes. The fact that the building is wrapped around with mirrors made it even more attractive which is why every design has a piece of mirror like reflection in it. The main goal was to design 2 bird houses and one feeder for the backyard on the rooftop.
